Ludus is a real-time PvP strategy game developed by TOP APP GAMES LTD, blending auto-chess merge mechanics with hero collection and deck-building. In each match, players deploy hero cards onto a grid, merge identical units to upgrade their tier and unlock abilities, then watch combat resolve automatically when the preparation phase ends. Matches are fast-paced — typically under five minutes — and revolve around outsmarting your opponent during the merge phase rather than controlling units mid-fight. Outside of 1v1 ranked arenas, the game features clan-based Clan Wars with defensive stronghold layouts, Astral Rifts for solo progression, seasonal tournaments, and a weekly element rotation that shifts the meta and keeps deck-building fresh. Tips & Strategies

Your deck is built around five cards — every slot has to earn its place. A card that’s theoretically strong but clashes with the rest of your lineup in practice is dead weight. Before adding a hero, think about whether it complements your strongest card or competes for the same role.

Merge timing is the actual skill ceiling in Ludus. Merging too early wastes board space when you could be deploying more units; merging too late leaves low-tier units dying before they do anything. The sweet spot is merging right before the combat phase starts, once you’ve maxed out your deployment.

The weekly element buff changes what’s worth running. If Fire units are buffed this week, running a full Fire deck isn’t just easier — it’s actively the better choice. Ignoring the rotation and sticking to a fixed deck costs you free percentage points every week.

Destroying rocks gives you coins — prioritize buffing them early. Coins control how many units you can deploy, and getting more coins than your opponent mid-match creates a snowball effect. Buffing rocks is less dramatic than merging heroes but has a bigger compounding impact.

Clan Wars cannonballs are a limited resource — don’t burn them on weak targets. Save purple and blue cannonballs for the Dragon or rival strongholds that actually block your clan’s progress. Grey cannonballs for cleanup, everything else for high-value targets.

In Arena, watch what your opponent deploys in round one before committing. The first round tells you their deck’s primary win condition. If they’re running summoner-heavy units, you need crowd control at merge level 2+; if they’re running high-burst single targets, you need a tank in the front row by round two.
