Game Overview

Sunshine Island: Farming Game is a tropical island farming simulator developed by Goodgame Studios. Players start from scratch and gradually build up their own island — planting and harvesting crops, raising farm animals like chickens, cows, goats, horses, and pigs, and sending workers out to gather resources across the archipelago. As the island grows, players unlock expeditions to discover new islands, craft goods, trade with NPCs, and take part in guild-based tournaments and seasonal events. Tips & Strategies

Feed production is the bottleneck nobody warns you about early on. Animal products (eggs, milk, wool) are required for almost every crafting recipe, but animals won’t produce anything if their feed runs out. Build your Feed Mill early and keep it running — running dry on feed stalls your entire production chain.

Don’t let your workers sit idle between harvests. Workers can be assigned to gather resources around the island even when you’re not actively playing. Setting them to gather before you close the app means you come back to a stocked inventory instead of empty hands.

Expansion costs scale up fast — save coins for land before spending on decorations. The first few expansions are affordable, but mid-game tiles start costing significant resources. Decorations increase happiness but are secondary to having enough space to place production buildings.

Happiness directly affects your production costs. A happy population means cheaper goods — it’s not just a cosmetic stat. Upgrading homes, placing leisure buildings like gazebos, and keeping islanders’ requests fulfilled keeps costs down without spending gems.

Guild tournaments reward coordinated play, not just active play. Knowing which goods your guild needs during a tournament window — and pre-producing them before the event starts — is the difference between landing a top reward and missing it. Communicate with your guild before tournaments begin.

Fishing unlocks at level 18 and is worth the wait. Certain crafting recipes and orders require fish that can’t be obtained any other way. Once the boat becomes available, building fishing into your daily routine pays off faster than it looks — especially for completing the higher-value orders.
